The minute Grace Bunke came into our world, she was a brilliant ray of light that shone brightly. This little girl, who was only 14 years old when she passed away, was an inspiration to a great number of people, and her mother is carrying out the last request she expressed before she passed away.

Grace’s mother claims that her family was often warning her that she was traveling too quickly, too far, and too high. Since Grace Bunke never accomplished anything in a half-hearted manner. She had an innate talent for sports and a genuine enthusiasm for life.

However, everything came to a screeching halt when she was told that she had a kind of bone cancer when she was just 11 years old.

Grace Bunke remained positive throughout the whole of her ordeal, which included 18 cycles of chemotherapy and the amputation of a portion of one of her legs due to cancer. Despite everything, she had a positive attitude, laughed easily, and found moments of delight.

Even though her hopes of becoming a runner were dashed, she was still able to discover a new passion in swimming. Her mother, Vicki, said that they were never required to urge her daughter to maintain an active participation in life. “We didn’t want to discourage her, but we also needed to consider what she could accomplish without putting herself in danger. She just had the mentality that we are going to get through this, and I simply cannot wait to go back,”

Grace’s battle with cancer had been going on for three years when she came to the realization that she was not going to overcome the odds. In the few time she had left on this planet, she pleaded with her mother to honor a commitment they had previously made.

Grace’s 15th birthday was the day before she begged her mother Vicki to run a race in her place. Her mother, of course accepted, and Vicki hasn’t slowed down since then. Even after Grace Bunke’s passing in 2018 even.

Vicki has been able to raise a total of $80,000 via all of the contests that she has taken part in up to this point.

She knows that her daughter is rooting for her to win in the competition that lies ahead of her and is exhorting her to “run well, swim well.” She says that they get the impression that heaven is rooting for them.
