A 3D printed ultrasound is given to a blind mother so that she may “see” her baby…

A blind mother was given the gift of “seeing” her lovely baby’s face thanks to a 3D ultrasound that was created especially for her by kind medical professionals.

Ashton Johnson is now anticipating the arrival of a son in the near future. But, due to the fact that Ashton suffers from a vision impairment, she has not been able to see her kid in any of the ultrasounds that have been performed.

Instead, Ashton has been forced to depend on the descriptions provided to her by her husband, Logan, that is, until Ashton’s obstetrician and gynecologist devised something, a unique plan only for Ashton.

Dr. Katie Sekpe told that the idea came to her as “It would be really nice to give her something tangible to hold on to, to feel the contours of the baby’s face, and to really get an understanding of what baby looks like.”

After that, Dr. Sekpe began to work and collaborated with another obstetrician-gynecologist. After that, the physicians created 3D models based on the ultrasound photos they had. In this manner, Ashton would be able to “see” her baby via the sense of touch.

Once her medical team showed her the 3D ultrasound, Ashton was filled with emotion and couldn’t contain her reaction.

Ashton responded with a heartfelt “Thank you very much, people.” “Thank you so much for doing this for me; it means the world to me.”

Although Ashton was continuing to express her thanks for the unique present, she also said that others who are in a situation similar to hers have the opportunity to experience something so unique.

She wished for other mothers to have the opportunity to participate in this activity, remarking, “This is really great.”
