A Lonely Man Gives Up His Job To Raise A Young Boy Who Is Non-Verbal And Has Never Felt Loved Before, And…

There is no love in the world that can compare to the love that a parent has for their kid.

Take it from Ruben Ramos, a gay guy who did not let his sexuality to define his parenthood but instead transformed it into an inspirational narrative that is worth imitating for others to follow in his footsteps.

The path that Ramos took to become a father wasn’t an easy one, but he worked extremely hard for every single moment of it.

At the age of seven, Ramos made the journey from Mexico to Texas on his own. He is an immigrant. Due to the fact that he was gay and came from a town with a lower income, he was tormented for the majority of his childhood.

In spite of the challenges he had throughout his life, he was successful in completing his education and was the first person from his class to get a bachelor’s degree. After that, at the age of 29, he was promoted to the position of Marketing Director.

But being a father is without a doubt his proudest accomplishment, it was not a whim or a spur-of-the-moment choice for Ramos; rather, it was a choice that he had always intended to make for himself.

The turning point for Ramos was when, at the age of 15, he began working as a volunteer at a Children’s Advocacy Center.

Finally, on the same day in March 2016 that he submitted his citizenship application, he also submitted his application to become an adoptive parent. After waiting another year, he was granted citizenship in the United States.

But in November of 2016, he was granted his adoption license at long last.

Although he first submitted his application for “adopt only” since he didn’t want to form a bond with the kid, in June of 2017 he attended his third foster event, and since then, his life has been turned upside down.

“I finally got to meet the adorable child that has my heart. This child altered the course of my whole life and grounded every part of me. “At this point, I was finally able to make contact with Hector,” Ramos said, “I will never forget the very first time that I laid eyes on him. I can still see expression on his face and the purity of his appearance, i was unable to tear my eyes away from him.

Hector, who was just 7 years old at the time, was labeled non-verbal despite the fact that he could speak a few words of Spanish and some English. Although Ramos was not chosen to be Hector’s foster dad, he did eventually get qualified as a Foster to Adopt caregiver.

“I recall the time and place when they broke the news to me that I had not been chosen, i was inconsolable; deep down, I had no doubt that he was the one for me. “He was it, he was the kid I envisioned,” Ramos recalled, “He was the whole package.”

Even as late as January 2018, he had not been chosen. At long last, Ramos received a phone call from his social worker who informed him about Hector.

He did all he could to give Hector the assistance he needed, but he wore himself out trying to balance his new role as Hector’s dad with his professional obligations. Therefore, he decided to give up his successful career.

Hector called Ramos “dad” for the very first time in October 2019, which caused Ramos break down in tears.
