After Elvis star Austin Butler and director Baz Luhrmann paid tribute to Lisa Marie Presley after her passing this week, fellow film star DeJonge, 24 — who portrayed Priscilla Presley in the biopic — also shared some words on social media. Lisa Marie Presley was the only daughter of the King of Rock and Roll.
She referred to herself as “shattered” on her Instagram Story. “To have been able to sense her amazing presence is a privilege. And will be always grateful to her for the compassion and love she shown toward me and the rest of the Elvis family.”
DeJonge continued by saying, “All of my love to Priscilla, Riley, Harper, and Finley,” in reference to the members of Lisa Marie’s family who are still alive.
This homage from DeJonge comes only a few days after Priscilla, 77, said in a statement that she had written on Thursday night that her daughter had passed away. Her age was 54.
Priscilla added, “It is with a sad heart that I must bring the tragic news that my lovely daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, powerful, and loving woman I have ever met.”
She went on to say that “As we struggle to come to terms with the magnitude of this loss, we respectfully request privacy. I am grateful for the love and prayers that have been sent. There are going to be no additional comments made at this time.”
