After her Superbowl show, Rihanna will perform at Oscars, marking the first ever time that she has been…

Rihanna is scheduled to do a one-of-a-kind performance at the Oscars in 2023, which immediately increased the level of anticipation around those awards.

The Academy Awards made the announcement on Instagram on February 23 that the singer, who is 35 years old and has been nominated for an Oscar for her song “Lift Me Up,” would perform it during the event on March 12.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is included on the soundtrack for the movie.

Rihanna is competing for the award for best original song against Lady Gaga (“Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick”), Sofia Carson (“Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”), Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava (“Naatu Naatu” from “RRR”), and Ryan Lott, David Byrne, and Mitski (“This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”).

This is the first time Rihanna has ever been nominated for an Oscar.

The year 2023 is shaping up to be a monumental one for Rihanna. Not only did she make her first performance at the Oscars, but she also just headlined the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, where she announced that she is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky.

In addition to that, Rihanna has re-entered the recording studio and is now working on new songs.

During her press conference with Apple Music on February 9, the megastar stated, “I’m feeling open to exploring, discovering, and creating things that are new, things that are different, things that are off, weird, and might not ever make sense to my fans and the people that know the music I put out.”

“I simply want to go out and have fun. I want to enjoy myself while listening to music.”
