Nightbirde has swiftly won the hearts of people all around the globe, but she has decided to quit America’s Got Talent so that she may concentrate on fighting the metastatic illness that is destroying her body. And as the other judges offer their last words, Simon Cowell fights a losing battle to keep his emotions in check.
Over 200 million people have already seen the incredible performance that Nightbirde gave on America’s Got Talent that won her the golden buzzer. The courageous vocalist who was battling cancer appeared in it and sang an original song that was named “It’s Ok.”
When you composed ‘It’s Ok,’ did you have any inkling that it would have such a profound effect on people all around the world? The gifted performer is questioned by Terry Crews.
Nightbirde’s response is, “There’s no way I would have ever thought that,” and she means it.
“It’s a song I composed in the middle of the night for myself, when the lyrics were exactly what I needed so desperately. It is a great thing to witness people all across the globe inviting that music into their own lonely night. It’s a lot for me to take in.”
As Nightbirde prepares to depart the event, the judges take a moment to tell her how much they appreciated her sharing her abilities with the world and how much they liked seeing her perform.
“We are grateful that you were able to move us with your music and with who you are. You really blew us away “says Sofia Vergara.
“You are the poster-person for fortitude in the face of hardship, for poise, for beauty, and for battle,” Howie Mandel adds. “You are the human embodiment of all of those things.”
In a subsequent heartfelt communication to Nightbirde, Simon expresses his reluctance to shed any emotions he may be feeling.
“You have wisely decided that taking care of your health should be one of your top priorities right now. And I am aware that during our most recent conversation, you said that you had the feeling that you have let other people down.
You have not failed to meet the expectations of any of us, and I want to express that on everyone’s behalf. You are a winner despite the fact that you have not yet participated in the competition. Your video has had such an effect on a very large number of people “he adds.
“Continued from the previous thought, Simon says, “The most essential thing is your well-being, your health, and your rehabilitation.”
We want you to know that all of us here are thinking about you and sending our love and prayers, and that we can’t wait to see you again very soon. We are really grateful that you tried out for the program and that you sang such a lovely song at the audition.”
The uplifting performer expresses her appreciation to the panel of judges. And Nightbirde says good riddance with some heartfelt remarks.
