The acts on America’s Got Talent are there to amuse the judges and advance to the next round of the competition.
Some acts have unforgettable sob stories, while others have performances that are so unique that they stand out from the crowd.
At times, an act can have such an impact on the judges that it is impossible to forget them.

Jeffrey Li, a 12-year-old boy, falls squarely into the latter category.
Jeffrey auditioned for season 12 of America’s Got Talent and told the judges right away that he was lonely. Jeffrey only wanted a dog!
This 12-year-old clearly did his homework, because judge Simon Cowell is a huge animal lover who owns several dogs.

Jeffrey chose to sing “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban for his audition because it was a song he used to keep himself from feeling sad and lonely.
He promised him that if he did well in his audition, he would buy Jeffrey his own dog afterward.
This is a difficult song that many adults will avoid, but Jeffrey handled it admirably and delivered an outstanding audition. He truly has a lovely voice!

Heidi Klum was excited to ask Jeffrey what puppy he wanted after he finished singing because she thought he’d get the dog after that audition.
“Wow, Jeffrey, talk about high stakes!” You’re 12 years old, you’re performing in front of 3,000 or 4,000 people, and you’re singing one of the world’s most popular tunes. But I won’t tell you what I think about it until the very end. ”
He then turned the floor over to Howie Mandel, who clearly said yes. Mel B and Heidi agreed with Howie and agreed to say yes, giving Jeffrey three yeses.

Then it was back to Simon, and he had to admit what he had thought!
Simon, unsurprisingly, liked Jeffrey’s audition. He thought it was fantastic. And Simon is a man who keeps his word.
That meant Jeffrey would be getting a puppy thanks to Simon Cowell!

People on the internet adored Jeffrey’s interaction with the judges and his audition.
One Facebook user even suggested that Simon donate one of their puppies to Jeffrey: “He was fantastic, and my wife Vicki and I will donate an AKC German Shepherd to him for Simon! Our puppies are 4 weeks old today, so it won’t be long before we can grant this child’s wish! Blessings!
