Nobody expected to see beef between Drake and Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian in 2022, but here we are. The rapper put out “Her Loss” on Friday. In it, he says bad things about Megan Thee Stallion, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), and Alexis, among others.
In the song “Middle of the Ocean,” Drake parodies the tennis pro’s supportive husband. “Sidebar, Serena, your husband is a groupie; he claims we don’t have a problem, but no, boo, you’re here for sushi.” “We might sneak up on ’em like Suzuki,” he raps.
People began discussing the verse on Twitter, prompting Alexis to reply in the classiest and cutest way possible. With a sweet message, the father shared a photo with baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. while supporting his mother on the court. “I keep winning because I’m unrelenting about being the absolute best at whatever I do—including being the best groupie for my wife and daughter,” he wrote in the tweet.
Williams responded with smiling faces and heart emojis after Alexis’ response went viral.

Drake and Williams had a rumored fling a few years ago, so the apparent diss is intriguing. The Degrassi star began attending her games as a fan in 2011, which sparked speculation. “I cannot wait to put it on you and make you sweat………during our match this weekend,” he tweeted to Williams.

Later, in his song “Nothing Was The Same,” he raps, “I’m with my whole set/Tennis matches at the crib/I swear I could beat Serena when she playin’ with her left.”
After a few years, Drake was spotted cheering on Williams at Wimbledon in 2015, and he became a regular at her matches.
They were then seen kissing twice, the first time in the VIP section of a Cincinnati restaurant, with pictures and videos circulating on the internet, according to Capital Xtra.
Serena and Alexis began dating that same year, in 2015, after meeting while staying at the same hotel in Rome. There were no reports of an official breakup.
