“American Idol” alum and country music star Kellie Pickler’s husband dies. Details revealed

Kyle Jacobs, the husband of country music artist Kellie Pickler, died by apparent s*icide on Friday.

The Nashville Police Department was summoned to a residence on Friday around 1:12 p.m., according to reports. Jacob, 49, was discovered “dead after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

“His death is being examined as an apparent s*icide,” according to a statement obtained by People.

Pickler, who was on season five of “American Idol” in 2010, informed police that she awoke to discover her spouse missing.

The country singer, 36, and her personal assistant searched the house but were unable to access one of the rooms. They then phoned the authorities.

According to rumors, Jacobs had recently updated his Instagram profile (one day before his death) with a happy message about Lee Brice’s “Hello World” becoming platinum.

“Platinum?” wrote Jacobs. SWEEEET!!! This one was put together by an incredible team of highly skilled people… I’m really honored to be a part of it… “Thank you, Jesus!”

The 49-year-old was a producer and composer whose hits included “More Than a Memory” by Garth Brooks in 2007. He’d also collaborated with Kelly Clarkson, Randy Travis, Scott McCreery, Josh Kelley, and Clay Walker.

He and Pickler married in 2011, and their program “I Love Kellie Pickler” ran for three seasons.

“I’m simply going to be myself, be with my wife, and be us,” Jacobs said of the program in 2015.

“We’ve just created such a strong foundation of trust and love…

Whatever the work is, if it ever interferes with our marriage, it interferes. “Our marriage takes precedence.”

Kyle Jacobs, please rest in peace. At this moment, our thoughts are with Kellie Pickler.
