Before the Super Bowl, Jason and Travis Kelce’s mother personally delivered cookies

I’m not even talking about Rihanna, but Super Bowl Sunday meant a lot to one woman in particular. Donna Kelce had two sons in Super Bowl LVII, and they were on opposing teams: Philadelphia Eagles center Jason and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. What is a mother to do in such a possibly dangerous situation? Cookies. Make some cookies. and present them simultaneously in two Tupperware containers. I’m sure she counted the cookies to ensure they were all equal, since Donna Kelce is the queen of treating her sons equally on all levels.

Kelce came to the Super Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday wearing a one-of-a-kind game outfit in celebration of her kids making history as the first set of brothers to face off in the greatest football game of the year. a personalized football jersey with both kids’ team colors and numbers, a transparent handbag with both sons’ numbers and team colors, and, of course, two containers loaded with sweets to feed her boys.

Both of her sons were delighted to get their game cookies, and one can only presume she reminded them to share with their teammates. Donna Kelce has undoubtedly been the most fantastic mother during the whole football season leading up to the game fans have called the #Kelcebowl. In interviews prior to the game, she declined to pick a side, stating that she was just pulling for “the offense” when speaking with TODAY and opening up about witnessing her sons grow up to be such huge talents. “You see them as youngsters, and you wonder how they’re going to interact with other children, and you don’t really know,” she told TODAY on February 1. “They’re the greatest in their city, maybe the best in their state, and you have no clue how that’s going to translate to the rest of the country.”

She had no notion they’d wind up playing in the Super Bowl against each other. Or that she’d have to figure out how to fit in time for each of them after the game. to rush to one kid who played on the winning team, in this case Travis, when the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

She approached a somber-looking Jason Kelce, tapped him on the arm, and offered him a shoulder to cry on after hugging Travis. I whispered into his ear and embraced him tightly. And you could see he was desperate for his mother at the time.

Donna Kelce knew going into the Super Bowl that one of her sons would win while the other would walk away empty-handed. And she was ready for it; she was there to support her boys.

Most importantly, I made certain that they both had cookies to take home. But they got the best return on those Tupperware containers.
