Brad Pitt stunned his fellow actors and gawking fans on Tuesday, January 10, with his youthful and renewed appearance. Although the “Bullet Train” star did not collect any prizes at the recent Golden Globes, his name was frequently heard from the stage, with numerous passionate remarks paying tribute to the Hollywood icon.
Ke Huy Quan, the star of “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,” nominated the 59-year-old for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. Still, Pitt took the loss with grace and even posed for a picture with the person who beat him.
Throughout the night, the “Ad Astra” star spoke pleasantly with his fellow performers, pausing to take selfies and exchange lighthearted jokes. Notably, Pitt was spotted lifting a bottle of water to everyone who acknowledged him in their speeches and sticking to his drink choice throughout the night.
Pitt’s alleged alcohol addiction was the final straw in their divorce.
Pitt has spent the last few years dealing with the fallout from his convoluted and heartbreaking divorce from Angelina Jolie. Seeing him seem “young,” “happy,” and “like a new man” has delighted his co-stars and fans, and many have expressed relief that he is “recovering” from the trauma.
Pitt and Jolie’s divorce was very complex, made much more so by their six children. After 11 years of parenting their blended family of adopted and biological children, Pitt and Jolie called it quits after a protracted period of disagreement.
Pitt’s entire life changed once his relationship with Angelina Jolie ended.
Pitt’s alleged alcohol addiction was the final straw in their divorce. After an altercation on a private jet in 2016, the two decided it was time to call it quits. Pitt conducted a lot of reflection after they split up and sought therapy for his substance use issues. He made the following comment:
“I had gone as far as I could, so I revoked my drinking rights.”
He eventually found support and the opportunity to open up about himself through Alcoholics Anonymous. The actor spent almost a year with this group, which was made up entirely of other males dealing with similar challenges. Pitt credited a large part of his recovery to the openness and trust he found in these people.
Pitt’s entire life changed once his relationship with Angelina Jolie ended. He regained his energy and absorbed himself in his task. He recognized he needed to “be more” in his children’s lives after losing himself in his blunders. He pondered:
“People on their deathbeds do not discuss what they have achieved or been granted.” They seem to be talking about their loved ones or their regrets. When I’m in that frantic work zone, I stop listening. I’d like to get better at it.”
He revealed that, while he doesn’t necessarily regret his previous errors and what they’ve taught him, he is concerned about the picture being projected by the media and what his children may take from it. And the actor has given much attention to his job as a father. He commented after winning the Oscar for “Best Supporting Actor” in 2020:
“This is for my children, who color everything I create.” “I just admire you.”
On several occasions, the devoted father of six has spoken openly about his connection with his children. He didn’t get to see them as much after his divorce from Jolie as he would have wanted, but he has managed to stay in their lives throughout the years.
Despite the fact that the actor is continuously occupied with new films and projects, not to mention his vineyard, Château Miraval, he spends most of his free time with his children. Things have been looking good for Pitt since his final divorce from Jolie in 2019, and insiders claim he’s rebounding beautifully.
