Few people are aware that, prior to his marriage to Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady was in a relationship with Bridget Moynahan, with whom he has a son. Brady found out his ex-girlfriend was pregnant only two months after they started dating in December 2006.
The “Blue Bloods” actress gave birth to John Edward Thomas Moynahan in August 2007. At the time, the actress disclosed that Tom was present on the day of their son’s birth and returned afterward.
Moynahan discussed her desire as a single mother to raise her son Jack in a July 2008 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She acknowledged that, while most people assume parenting to be easy, she went home weeping after discovering she had no training for an infant.
Much to her amazement, everything has gone swimmingly since. She never imagined her life would be complete without a husband. She went on to say:
“I’m not sure anyone grows up thinking, “I want to be a single parent,” and I may be wrong.”
Moynahan dated NFL quarterback Tom Brady from 2004 to 2006. Their breakup was revealed by her spokesperson in December 2006, when Brady was already dating Bundchen.
Her spokesperson verified in February 2007 that she was three months pregnant with Brady’s child. She reflects on that period, admitting it was stressful because she was both devastated and pregnant.
Although she wholeheartedly accepted her role as Jack’s mother, she acknowledged that it was tough to get caught up in a media frenzy that focused on her carrying the kid alone while Brady went on to another woman. She once stated,
“It’s a difficult talk to have when you’re unexpectedly pregnant and no one is by your side, even if you’re in your 30s.”
Moynahan went on to say that, despite being in her 30s, she was a conventional girl who believed in marriage. Growing up, she assumed that was how she would raise her family. In fact, it was difficult for her to accept that having Jack was the only way she could have a family.

Despite media allegations that Moynahan and Brady had a strained relationship, the couple has remained polite and devoted to raising their child together.
Moynahan revealed that she and Brady made a deliberate decision to raise their child with their respective spouses.
Moynahan married businessman Andrew Frankel in 2015, while Brady married Gisele Bundchen in 2009. Despite all that has transpired in the past, all four of them have made efforts to ensure that Jack grows up in the best possible environment.
Brady made a point of mentioning that someone extremely important was in the stands to witness him win his 10th Super Bowl. After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl over the Green Bay Packers, the superstar dashed to the fans to hug his kid.
“I love you, child,” the great athlete said as he hopped the barrier to embrace Jack. Brady also made a point of saying in a post-game interview:
“He’s a unique child.” My family is very important to me. “Clearly, I adore my team, and there’s no better feeling than spending time with everyone after a big win.”
Moynahan was overjoyed for his father’s victory in the same manner as Jack was. She devoted an Instagram post to him to thank him, and people praised them for their strong connection as co-parents.
Bundchen was at a loss for words when she learned that her then-boyfriend’s ex was pregnant. Despite this, she says that she couldn’t have wished for a better “extra child.”
Also, Bundchen and Moynahan are now friendly with one another. In fact, they converse as frequently as Brady and Moynahan.

Although Moynahan was the primary caregiver for their son Jack over the years, Brady was never far away. In reality, they decided to raise their child together with their partners. She revealed,
“Tom and I decided to have a kid together, and we both found partners who not only supported us in that choice but also loved our child as if he were their own.”

Brady married Bundchen in 2009, and they have two children: a boy named Benjamin, 12, and a daughter named Vivian, 9. Both are extremely close to their half-brother and spend as much time with him as they can.
For Mother’s Day, the NFL great made a point to honor the two ladies in his life. In his welcome to Bundchen, he uploaded a black-and-white family photo as well as an Instagram Story of Moynahan with Bundchen and their kid.
Similarly, Bundchen acknowledged Moynahan by posting a photo of herself with producer Jody Joynes. “Happy Mother’s Day to these supermoms,” she captioned it.

Finally, Moynahan feels grateful to be Jack’s mother. She previously stated that parenting has taught her how to focus on what is essential and that it has benefited her more than modeling and acting could.
