Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas both have birthdays on the same day, so there was a double party in honor of both of them.

Fans were thrilled when the long-term pair posted birthday greetings, birthday images, and birthday tributes on Instagram. They also wished each other a happy birthday.

Throwback photos from the first time they met were shared on Instagram by Michael, who was the first to publish one of these.

The happy-looking pair seemed to be in their early twenties, and the actor from Basic Instinct provided extra context for the photo in the caption: He wrote about the first time he met Catherine, which was during the Deauville Film Festival in the year 1998.

“To my utter astonishment, I discovered that we had the same birthdate! After that, I found out she was a golf enthusiast, and I knew that all of my dreams had come true.

After that, she went on Instagram and wrote her own gushing message, which she accompanied with a picture in which Michael was looking at her with adoration.

Her message wished him a happy birthday and said, “Happy Birthday to me. Happy Birthday to him, Cheers to many more years in which we may all get together to celebrate September 25! Love you.”
