Cher is making a significant move toward integrating her personal and professional worlds.

The pop-culture icon, who is 76 years old, disclosed to E! News on Monday that she and her partner, Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, are now working on new songs together. She revealed her plans to the media outlet, saying, “I’m heading to London to create two albums.”

“Alexander shared some of his music with me, and I’m really looking forward to listening to them, since he is both a producer and a writer in addition to doing everything else, this makes me extremely pleased.”

Cher has also dropped hints that the material that her lover has is strong. She elaborated by saying, “I believe when you’ve got something wonderful, you’re delighted just as any other artist would be.”

With further information that is sure to excite Cher’s legion of devoted followers, the singer said in the interview that she is “trying to get herself in shape” in preparation for concert plans for the latter half of the year.

The singer known for her hit single “Believe” has said in the past that she and Edwards, who is 36 years old and who she started seeing in the autumn of 2022 after meeting at Paris Fashion Week, are highly compatible despite the significant age gap between them.

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Cher said that “on paper,” the idea is “sort of absurd, but, in everyday life, we get along swimmingly. He’s amazing to look at. And I don’t think it’s fair to bestow onto men traits that they don’t earn.”

In November of 2022, she said in a tweet that has since been removed that “LOVE DOESN’T KNOW MATH, IT SEES.”

She went on to say that members of her family who had interacted with Edwards had relayed to her that he treated her like a “queen.”

On Christmas Day in 2022, Cher displayed a picture of the diamond ring Edwards had given her and expressed her regret at not being able to present it to her mother Georgia Holt, who had passed away earlier that month at the age of 96.
