Customers buy all of the store’s doughnuts, so that the owner is able to take care of his ill wife…

Donut City, one doughnut business in Seal Beach, California, has been owned and operated by John Chhan and his wife Stella for the last 30 years.

They have established themselves as a mainstay in the neighborhood, and generations of children in the area have been raised on their confections.

Recently, when consumers realized that Stella is going through a difficult time medically, they made the decision to do what they could to assist the pair.

Stella is presently residing in a nursing home after having suffered a brain hemorrhage a while ago.

The Chhans have made it clear that they do not want any crowdfunding sites to be established in their name.

Therefore, the consumers came to the conclusion that the best way to show their support was to purchase doughnuts, as they always do.

Every morning, customers purchase everything in stock at the shop, allowing Chhan to close the business earlier and return home to take care of his cherished wife.

He is overwhelmed with appreciation for the help and support he is getting from his customers.
