The actress, who is 46 years old, said during an appearance on interview, which was presented by Caroline Stanbury, that she had spent her whole life preparing herself to be child-free until she sensed a change in her mid-thirties.
“You know, I’m not sure about that. Maybe it’s what other people say about women, or maybe it’s simply that the biological clock starts ticking at a certain point. I mean, the fact of the matter is that I would have had a child regardless of whether or not there was a male involved ”
“When I was in my mid-thirties, I first became aware of having these sensations. To the point of asking, “What am I doing all of this for?” Why am I working so hard to attempt to earn money and to live this life that I’ve created for myself? Why go to all of this trouble?”
“At the time, I was involved in a partnership that was really committed. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to start a family. After that, I didn’t have a significant other, and I remember thinking, “Oh, you know what? Maybe it would be simpler for you to do the task on your own anyhow.”
The actress continued by saying that she was in the midst of investigating the many methods in which she may become a mother on her own when she started “casually dating” her now-fiancé Norman Reedus, 54, with whom she has a daughter named Nova Tennessee, who is 4 years old.
“When we found out we were going to have a child, it seemed only natural that it would eventually turn into this, i mean, Nova really appeared in my life at a time when I was the least prepared for it and the most in need of it.
She was without a doubt the most wonderful event that has ever taken place in any of our lives.”
Kruger disclosed the name of her daughter back in May, when she was talking about her new children’s book, A Name From the Sky, which was published in October and is now available in stores.
She shared her thoughts, “I had her late in life at the age of 42, and [Norman] had a kid when he was considerably younger.” “The word “nova” derives from the Latin word for “new beginning,” and a nova star is one that is always evolving and being reborn.
