Lopez received an especially nice boost to get her even more pumped up for her widely raved-about performance at the halftime show of the 2020 Super Bowl, as her daughter Emme, who was 11 years old at the time, was by her side.
“My little’ coconut gave me all the energy I needed to go out there,” the 53-year-old mother of twins posted on her Instagram Story Thursday night over some intense throwback video, adding the caption “#MySunshine.”
Emme, who is now 14 years old, participated with her in some of the performance, and before Lopez and her kid made their way out onto the football field together, Lopez had taken a time to tenderly kiss her child.
The singer of “Jenny from the Block” and Emme could be seen hopping about to warm themselves up before to their big moment as they waited for Shakira, who began the first part of the performance, to conclude her set.
Emme, who has a natural “performing gene,” dominated the stage. The preteen started out the appearance by singing “Let’s Get Loud” with a few other young performers. After that, she sang out a few lines from Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” as Jennifer Lopez danced around in a Puerto Rican flag cape with red, white, and blue feathers.
Following the performance, Emme’s dad Marc Anthony had some kind words for the burgeoning artist and shared a photo of Emme onstage in celebration. “You make your father Daddy very proud. You are mine, and I will be yours till the end of time.”
Between the years 2004 and 2014, Lopez was married to Anthony. Twenty years after they began dating in the early 2000s, the worldwide celebrity is now married to her ex-fiancé Ben Affleck. The couple held the ceremony in July 2022, three Super Bowls after their romance ended.
Recent reports indicated that Anthony wed Nadia Ferreira on January 28, however it was unclear whether or not the twins were present at the ceremony.
Lopez said that Max and Emme had “so many sentiments” about living in Beverly Hills, California, while Anthony resides on the East Coast.
“They’re in their adolescent years,” she said, “however, things are looking pretty promising at this point.”
