Dwayne Johnson expresses gratitude to “angels of mercy” after his mother is involved in a car accident

Most of us fear receiving an unexpected phone call informing us that a loved one has been involved in a terrible accident.

If you’ve ever had to make such a call, you’ll understand precisely what I mean. You’ll understand the sudden rush of dread, the barrage of inquiries, and, most importantly, the prayers murmured in the hope that your friend or family is safe.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson disclosed Tuesday that he was one part of a horrific phone conversation earlier this week, following his mother, Ata Johnson, being involved in a major vehicle accident at about 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Johnson’s mother, 74, was driving a red Cadillac Escalade when it collided with another car, according to his Instagram post. The renowned actor and former WWE wrestler shared a photo of his mother’s car, which had significant damage to the front passenger side.

Johnson captioned the image, thanking God that “she’s alright” and saying that “angels of compassion looked over my mom.”

“She’ll survive and be examined,” he continued. “This woman has survived lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a head-on accident with a drunk motorist, and a suicide attempt. She is a survivor in ways that bring angels and miracles to life.

Johnson did not elaborate on the circumstances of the incident, but he did add that his mother will be assessed further in the future.

He also took the opportunity to thank the first responders for their actions, both in assisting his mother and in doing their best to keep him calm and informed.

“Thank you, LAPD and LAFD, for being so compassionate and focused,” he stated in his Facebook post. “Thank you for staying on the phone with me and walking me through everything.”

In his final words, the Black Adam singer implored his millions of followers to cherish their parents.

“I only have one parent left,” he wrote. “So, if you still have your mom and dad, embrace them tight, because you never know when you’ll get that 3 a.m. call we don’t want to get.”

The 50-year-old former professional wrestler has previously hailed his mother’s bravery and tenacity. He designated her as a “survivor” in celebration of her 72nd birthday in October 2020.

“We walk along this unexpected route of life, and we never know what’s around the corner,” Johnson wrote.

“And no one personifies that concept more than my mother.” “She is a survivor; therefore, she lives life to the fullest every day and is a beautiful beacon of love, joy, and kindness.”

Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, a professional wrestler, died in 2020 at the age of 75.

Thank goodness this accident didn’t turn out worse. Life may be shockingly unpredictable at times, which is why it’s always crucial to demonstrate love, compassion, and forgiveness whenever and wherever possible.
