Even though birthdays are supposed to be cause for joy, Jennifer Aniston’s big day will be a challenging one this year…
On February 11, the star of Friends will turn 54, and while she will be celebrating with loved ones, there will be one important person absent from the festivities. It will be her first birthday after the passing of her father, John Aniston, who passed away in November 2022.
She posted a sorrowful tribute to him on social media at the time, which read: “Sweet father… You were really one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am overjoyed that you were able to reach the skies in tranquility and comfort when your body gave up the fight.”
Jennifer’s last words to her father on the post that contained four gorgeous photographs of the father-daughter-pair that spanned decades were, “Don’t forget to visit.”
John had a fruitful career as an actor, becoming well-known for his work on the daytime drama “Days of Our Lives,” which he left behind him when he passed away at the age of 98.
Jennifer presented her father with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards in recognition of his 37 years of work as Victor Kiriakis on the long-running program.
She said, “It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the world of daytime television, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.”
