Friends and Scream star Courteney Cox will soon have her name added to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame

On Monday, Feb. 27, Courteney Cox’s name will be formally affixed to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her name will be the 2,750th star at 6284 Hollywood Boulevard. The event will be emceed by Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, Head of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, with special guest speakers including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Laura Dern. The ceremony will be televised live on WalkofFame.com beginning at 11:30 a.m. PT.

“We are overjoyed to have Courteney Cox join us on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!” Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, stated in a statement “Courteney has done some monumental things over her career, and we know there is much more to come.” “I’m glad to say that her star is only a few feet away from Jennifer Aniston, another Walk of Famer.”

Cox became well-known as one of the stars of Friends, a popular comedy show that won ten Emmys. Cox reunited with Aniston, Kudrow, and her other co-stars from the sitcom for an Emmy-nominated reunion special on HBO Max in 2021. She went on to executively create and appear in the sitcom Cougar Town, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. She was most recently seen in the Starz series Shining Vale.

Cox is also well-known for her role as Gale Weathers in the Scream horror film series, which she returned to with last year’s fifth installment. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Bedtime Tales, The Longest Yard, and Mothers and Daughters are among her other cinematic credits.

Courteney Cox is set to return to the big screen soon.

Cox is also due to return to the big screen next month in Scream VI, reprising her role as Gale Weathers. Cox joins the other returning cast members from the previous film as the action moves to New York, where the Ghostface killings resume.She is also the sole legacy star, other than Roger L. Jackson as the voice of Ghostface, as Neve Campbell confirmed ahead of time that she would not be returning for the sequel. The film will be released in cinemas on March 10.

Ice-T, Jon Favreau, and Christina Applegate are among the most recent additions to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cox will take her turn among the stars on Monday, February 27.
