Jim Carrey, the actor and comedian, adores his daughter to the moon and back. On September 6, 1987, he and his ex-wife, Melissa Womer, welcomed their only child in Los Angeles, California.
Jim and Melissa were married in 1987, the same year Jane was born. Unfortunately, the couple was unable to maintain their marriage and divorced in 1995.
When Melissa and Jim first met, she was an aspiring actress. She was a server at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, where Jim performed stand-up comedy. When they first met, sparks flew between them, but their marriage wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies.
The next year, Jim married actress Lauren Hall. On the other hand, Melissa did not marry someone else following Jim’s and her divorce.
Despite their divorce, the couple remained close to their daughter. The little girl who was the apple of her parents’ eyes has grown up and no longer resembles her.
Jane is not only attractive, but she is also a woman of many abilities. She performs in a band called “The Jane Carrey Band,” and she was a contestant on “American Idol” season 11.
According to “The Smoking Gun,” Jane spent the majority of her childhood with her mother and only visited her father on rare occasions. Melissa raised her one and only child with much love and care.
In terms of her personal life, Jane is married to Alex Santana, the band “Blood Money’s” main vocalist. In an interview with “PEOPLE,” Jim stated that his daughter’s wedding day was “wonderful” and “beautiful.”
Jackson Riley, the couple’s son, was born. Their marriage was brief since they chose to split after only a year of marriage. Jane stated that she was looking forward to having a boy while pregnant. In an interview with “PEOPLE,” she explained why she didn’t want a female.
“I’m looking forward to going since I never got along with girls when I was younger. I was a little worried that she wouldn’t like me if it was a girl. “So I’m overjoyed about the boy.”
Jim was certain that his daughter would be an excellent mother to her son. He was overjoyed at the arrival of his grandchild and turned to Twitter to announce his arrival on February 27, 2010.
The actor told “Access Hollywood” that being a grandfather was “absolute happiness.” “He’s the coolest person on the planet till he gets tired, and then he’s a marauding lunatic,” he said.
