Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow proved “I’ll Be There For You” is more than just a song

Nothing beats a Friends reunion, especially when it’s with the ladies for a special occasion. Courteney Cox got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (Feb. 27) for her work as an actor, producer, and director. Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow were happy for her. During a moving address by her close friend, actresses Laura Dern, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow expressed their love for their BFF, reminiscing about their time on Friends—the program that brought the trio together over three decades ago.

“To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney,” Aniston said. “From the outset when we met her, she was immediately welcoming, kind, loving, rom  interested in everything about you.” In classic Friends fashion, the speech was wonderfully disorganized, with several tangents, but it constantly returned back to how Cox brought the Friends ensemble together. “She made it apparent from the start that this was a real ensemble. The friendship show,” Aniston noted, with Kudrow adding that Cox made them “one of the closest, most loving, and most supportive casts in the history of television.”

Kudrow and Aniston cried and laughed to show how much they loved Cox as a co-star and best friend. “We simply want to convey how proud we are to know you,” Kudrow remarked. “You are the epitome of a wonderfully attractive, talented, and, most importantly, truly kind and moral human being. And thank you for personally enhancing our lives.”

In an interview with Variety, Cox reaffirmed the significance of Friends and her long-standing connection with its cast and staff. “Friends taught me the value of camaraderie and working together. These connections came at a critical juncture in my life, and we went through so much together. And it just taught me to be there for one another,” “she remarked. “‘I’ll be there for you,’ I know, that’s the song. Yet it is correct.”
