Jennifer Aniston turned to social media on Friday to send a heartfelt message to her followers in the aftermath of the passing of her beloved father, John Aniston.
The Friends star was definitely in a thankful mood after what was probably a quieter Thanksgiving dinner than usual, so she posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of a hand holding two bottles from her Lolavie haircare brand.
She simply captioned the sunset photo, “Thank you for all the love this year,” along with a prayer hand emoji.
Jennifer’s tweet comes at a tough moment for the actress, who spent her first Thanksgiving apart from her father. John died on November 11 at the age of 89, but Jennifer learned of his death only on November 14.
The actress paid a heartfelt tribute to her father and shared pictures of them together over the years, including selfies from the present day and a black-and-white photo of John holding her when she was a baby.
Fans quickly expressed their condolences to Jennifer, with one commenting, “I’m very sorry for your loss,” and another, “Sending so much love.” “I’m very sorry; this is just upsetting,” a third person said.

Jennifer’s ex-husband, Justin Theroux, was among many who expressed their support.
Jennifer and Justin were married from 2015 to 2018 and have remained amicable after their divorce. The actor used a crimson heart emoji to respond to his ex-heartfelt wife’s statement on Instagram.
