The couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen chose a name for their baby girl that has a great deal of significance.

During an interview that aired on Thursday’s broadcast of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Legend discussed the significance of the baby girl’s name, Esti Maxine Stephens, which he and Chrissy gave to their new daughter who was born a month ago.

His daughter’s name is an amalgamation of two of his grandmother’s maiden names, Esther and Maxine, as he explains: “My great-grandmother was called Esther, and my grandmother’s middle name was Maxine, we couldn’t be happier to have her join the family,” they said.

“I believe we’ve been upfront about it because we’ve had issues,” Legend continues, “i think that’s why people have accepted it.” “In order for us to create a child, we were forced to undergo IVF treatment.

A miscarriage has unfortunately occurred. I believe that a good number of households go through that, but I also believe that a good number of people were relieved that we discussed it because it made them feel as if they weren’t as alone as before.
