John Legend and his former model wife, Chrissy Teigen, have endured several hurdles with the birth of their third child. They had infertility and losses, but everything changed for the couple last week.
Teigen and Legend just had their third child, a daughter. The couple announced the baby girl’s arrival on Instagram, and they both said how happy they were to have her in their lives and to have given their children another sibling.

Teigen and Legend experienced an incredibly public miscarriage over two years ago, in September 2021. Teigen miscarried their son, Jack, at 20 weeks of gestation and shared the terrible news on Instagram.
Teigen published images of her miscarriage process, explaining that she did so because she knew she would want the photos one day and she wanted to share the news directly with her followers.

It was a difficult moment for the family, and while Teigen went out about the loss quickly, Legend took more than a year to express his grief over losing his child so late in his wife’s pregnancy.

He expressed his grief at the loss and then explained why they opted to publish their hospital images. He revealed:

Esti was calmly napping while being held in the shot. Legend then shared a photo of himself cradling Esti in a comfortable turtleneck sweater on Instagram. Legend brightened as they both stared toward the camera.

He simply captioned the photo, “Our new love.” Fans said Esti resembled her father, and some even felt the small girl was her father’s “twin” in the latest snapshot of her face. Another admirer remarked on how lovely the newest member of the family was.
The photographs come a week after Teigen announced her daughter’s arrival on Instagram, saying that “Daddy cries nightly tears” for the love Esti already has for Luna and Miles.
Teigen praised Legend’s parenting abilities when their daughter was two years old. He was a wonderful teacher, she claimed, and her daughter and husband had a special relationship.

While acknowledging what a wonderful parent he was, Teigen stated that her favorite aspect of Legend becoming a father was that he remained a good spouse and kept the spark in their relationship alive.
Legend is a good father, but he lacks excellent parenting role models. In fact, he has frequently discussed his substance use difficulties with his mother. He was barely an adolescent at the time of these events.
