Whitney Houston wore the red Marc Bouwer dress that Kerry Washington wore as she appeared on the red carpet for the 2023 American Black Film Festival Honors: A Celebration of Achievement in Hollywood on March 5 in West Hollywood, California. The event was a celebration of excellence in Hollywood.

Washington accessorized her ruched, sleeveless dress with Gismondy1754 jewelry, which included a one-of-a-kind high jewelry ring from their Ghaccio Collection, a floral band, and white diamond stud earrings. The shoes she wore were red pointy-toed heels.

The late singer and music legend initially wore outfit 27 years ago. On his Instagram page, Marc Bouwer shared a slideshow of Kerry Washington wearing the dress, along with a picture of Whitney Houston wearing the clothing on the third slide, with the accompanying caption, “This dress is immensely significant to me.”

Law Roach, a prominent celebrity stylist, was the one who chose Washington’s outfit.

Roach was honored with the first-ever CFDA Award for Stylist Achievement in November of 2022 for all of his work in the fashion industry.

In the course of the American Black Film Festival Awards that took place this year, Washington was presented with the Excellence in Arts Award. The actress has a lot to be happy about this month since on March 10 her new series “UnPrisoned” will make its premiere in the United States on a streaming service.
