She disclosed that he died on January 24, 2023, and that he loved all of his followers and friends. Savanah then stated that she would provide further information concerning his afterlife rites in the coming days and weeks.
Many people commented on the article, expressing their astonishment at his death and their sympathies for his family. Others recounted recollections of him from times they spent together.
Others simply stated that when Kerwin died, Hollywood lost a legend. They claimed to have grown up watching his movies and idolizing him. Some even admitted to having had crushes on him when they were younger.
Kerwin rose to prominence in the late 1970s with his film appearances and continued to act until the late 1990s. However, by then, his career had stalled significantly, and he was only appearing as a guest star in a few episodes of the series.
By the 2000s, he had retired from acting completely and had become a youth preacher. He subsequently relocated to Hawaii to work with the U-Turn for Christ ministry. His good health, however, did not endure.
Kerwin had a GoFundMe campaign put up in 2021, indicating that he was having health problems. The page was made to help Kerwin get back into acting after he had trouble because his health was getting worse.

Kerwin became a Hollywood heartthrob after starring in “James at 15,” a film about a young man’s life as he moves to another state in the United States. Kerwin’s involvement in the production earned him the moniker “the boy next door” in the press. He collaborated with performers such as Susan Myers, Lynn Carlin, Kim Richards, and others.
Kerwin’s personal life, however, was far more chaotic than the one he portrayed on television and in films. According to reports, Kerwin was a recreational marijuana user throughout his childhood and teens.
While he had a successful career initially, he developed a crack cocaine addiction throughout his adolescence, and his career began to suffer as a result of his addiction. He attempted to get sober throughout his adolescence.
Unfortunately, he was unable to overcome his addiction, and at the age of 29, he was arrested for possession of illicit narcotics. He then chose to go to Maui, Hawaii, and restart his life.
He stated that he was living in a beautiful area but not enjoying a beautiful life after relocating to Maui since he was still in active addiction. He stated that even adopting Christ into his life did not assist him in being sober.
He did, however, admit that being in a new area and living with an active addiction had forced him to often shift his demeanor. He stated:
“I resembled a chameleon.” “I had friends from church, friends from Alcoholics Anonymous, and pals I shouldn’t have had.”
Kerwin’s first wife was Kristen Lansdale, with whom he had a daughter, Savanah. Their romance, however, did not continue, and he married Yvonne Kerwin in 1998. Their romance persisted.
