Lil Wayne explains how the Saudi Arabian Royal Family gifted him a Lamborghini

Following Saudi Arabia’s triumph against Messi’s Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Doha, a news rumor circulated on social media last week, claiming that the Kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman will be presenting each national team player with a Rolls Royce. While the rumors have yet to be confirmed, if true, it would not be the first time the prince has given a luxury car as a present to individuals he admires.

This weekend, an old video of US rapper Lil Wayne showed up on the Internet. In it, the New Orleans-born singer talks about the time the Crown Prince gave him a fancy watch and a sports car after they got into a fight at a private Saudi Arabia airport.

The Lollipop hitmaker recalled what happened upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia in a 2020 interview with Drink Champs. He claimed to have arrived at a private airport, but when he passed his baggage through the X-ray machine, a security official objected when she spotted jewels worth more than $25,000 in his suitcase, claiming that he should have reported the goods previously. “I told myself, f**k that s**t, I’m going back to my jet; I ain’t coming back; I’m not going anywhere; I don’t need to be here,” the rapper recounted.

He went on to say that when he was on his plane, he was informed that “his excellency” wasn’t pleased with what had occurred, and after ensuring the rapper passed through security without incident, he went on to visit his hotel room with a very significant present as a peace offering. It was a Franck Muller timepiece. But, according to the rapper, it didn’t end there.

“As he walked out of the room, he remarked, “Oh, I forgot, Lamborghini or Ferrari?” I assumed that was a broad question. I responded, “Lamborghini,” thinking he was asking which one was better. Then he inquired, “What color?” “Black,” I said. “In front of your house in three weeks,” he continued. “I sincerely apologize.”

“I was still assuming he was joking,” Wayne added. I mentioned the new Lamborghini vehicle. “I got it around two or three days ago!”

If I had a Lamborghini for every time I had a problem at the airport, I’d have a car dealership by now, but I digress. Indeed, Arabs are recognized for their generosity and friendliness, and Lil Wayne’s experience proves that we are unrivaled when it comes to gift-giving. Take note, rest of the world.
