Penelope Cruz said that Salma Hayek made her feel less “lonely” and “scared” when she first came to America…

Despite the fact that these two ladies are from different parts of the globe and have had different experiences, they have managed to forge a relationship that will outlast both of them.

Cruz discussed how she and Hayek came to know one another and how their relationship developed into such a strong one.

“I arrived here with a ticket to film a movie, I had my return ticket, so I was coming here for two months and I didn’t know anybody here,” Cruz said. Hayek was exceptionally nice, and she even volunteered to drive Cruz from the airport to her hotel.

“She picked me up at the airport and she said, ‘You’re not going to a hotel, you’re coming to my home because this is hard in the beginning and you’re going to feel very lonely,’ so—she brought me to her residence and now we are very close, almost like sisters.” she recounted.

Cruz was reasonably anxious about moving to Los Angeles given that he was coming from another country and had been raised in a different society.

“You know, it was remarkable that someone I knew just over the phone made sure that she picked me up at the airport and she didn’t let me go to the hotel,” she added. “And I ended up staying in her room because I was afraid,”

Both Cruz and Hayek are very busy women. In addition to being professional actors, they are also moms and philanthropists.

Despite this, the ladies continue to share wonderful and one-of-a-kind moments with one another.

Hayek also said that a wonderful friend like Cruz is difficult to come by.
