We’ve all seen dramatic reunion films about a parent and a child who haven’t seen each other in a long time, but you’ve never seen anything like this.
Kenneth Stahl is a veteran of the military, having served as a private in the National Guard in Syria, Iraq, and Kuwait.
Kenneth’s parents had no idea that he had been admitted to Fairmont State University and was on his way home early after an 11-month deployment to surprise them.
Kenneth’s friend recorded the scene on camera.
Kenneth is hiding in the patrol car in front of him, waiting for the right time to show himself to his parents. Kenneth’s parents, in the car in front, are signaled to pull over by the patrol car, and both cars stop on a grassy verge.
Kenneth’s parents are certainly concerned at this moment, as would anybody after being pulled over by the authorities.
Two officers exit their car and approach Nancy and Richard Stahl. Nancy assumed they had been pulled over for speeding, but police had allegedly informed them that their vehicle had been related to a heroin deal and that they needed to go.
During the talk between the police and Kenneth’s parents, the door of the police car opens and another man comes out. He rounded the rear of the automobile, looking for the proper moment.
Ultimately, Nancy and Richard approach the police cruiser, revealing the true purpose of their stop.
The rear door of the police car opens, and Richard stands stunned in front of his son, who is dressed in full army uniform.
Nancy then starts screaming and rushes up to Kenneth, pulling him into a strong embrace.
It’s a touching scene, and we’re sure Kenneth can forgive him for deceiving his parents into thinking they were in trouble with the cops!
As Richard returns to clean his glasses, Nancy cannot resist leaning in for another hug with her child. All parents understand that no matter how old their child is, there is no more wonderful moment than holding them in their arms.
A few people reacted to Kenneth’s prank on his parents, and although some thought it was a clever concept, some thought it was a little harsh! What do you think? Would you forgive your child for making you believe you were in trouble with the authorities if it meant a beautiful reunion?
