Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale Celebrates Her One Year Sobriety Anniversary, “You Are Not Alone and You Are Loved…”

Lucy Hale is now enjoying a significant achievement in her ongoing sober journey.

The former Pretty Little Liars star celebrated the completion of her first year of abstinence from alcohol and other substances by posting a picture of a celebratory round cake with the words “1 Year!” written in yellow on top of the lavender frosting and lined with a variety of colored sprinkles on Instagram on Tuesday.

She stated in reference to her own personal experience, “Bear with me, this is an alternate Valentine’s Day essay, this is a post on self-love as well as the most amazing thing I’ve ever accomplished in my life. On January 2, 2023, I marked the passing of one year since I had my first drink.”

She proceeded by saying, “While my journey has been primarily private, I felt driven to tonight to let anybody who is hurting know that you are not alone and that you are loved.”

Since then, supportive messages from fans have been pouring in, and several of Hale’s former castmates from Pretty Little Liars, such as Shay Mitchell, and other coworkers have also stopped by to congratulate the actress.

Emily in Paris actress Lily Collins commented, “Love you and very proud of you,” while Emily in Paris co-star Mitchell just used a single red heart emoji to express his feelings.

“”So lovely, Lucy,” remarked actress Lili Reinhart of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, while actress and activist Selma Blair wrote: “Congrats, love. I am really pleased with you. It is an exciting experience overall, always present as well here. Gratitude is huge. You are awesome. 💛.”

Demi Lovato, who has made a public statement about overcoming their own struggles with substance misuse, commented on Hale’s astounding success as well.

The singer who is known for the song “Sober” said, “I’m very happy of you sis I love you so much.” “I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of my journey and for enabling me to be a part of yours,” Just a month ago, Hale revealed another adjustment she was going to make in her life, and that was her decision to stop settling for a man that needed work after having done so in the past.

“I think that you can find someone who you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically connect with — like, a 10 out of 10 in each area,” she said on the Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson podcast. “In my opinion, that is quite feasible. I believe that a lot of individuals end up settling down. I’m not going to f—-in’ settle. I’ll perish alone before I settle.

Even if it’s over the top, that’s how I really feel about it.” The actress who stars in The Hating Game stated that she had been in relationships in the past in which she attempted to “fix” her lover.

“I normally like having a small project to work on,” said Hale. “It kept me busy, like, ‘your issues are greater than mine, so you’re going to make me feel better about myself simply because I’m helping, you know, repair you,” she said.

She went on to say, “I have not been in what I would consider a committed relationship for years,” and she gave a variety of explanations as to why this was the case. “However, I’ve reached the point in my life where I’m thinking, ‘okay, I know exactly what I’m looking for, and what I’ve dated in the past, it was virtually a carbon duplicate of the same person.’ “
