Rod Stewart, the best-selling music artist of all time, nearly lost one of his children in a vehicle accident. His son was sent to the closest hospital.

Sean Stewart, the eldest son of British rock and pop artist Rod Stewart was apparently involved in an accident.

According to Page Six, Sean was brought to the hospital on October 24, 2022, after being involved in a car accident. The “In Crowd” singer shared the shocking news on Instagram, saying he “was struck by a truck at a red light” and that it was “hard out here on these streets.”

Sean posted the remark alongside a photo of himself seated in a hospital gown, face mask, and neck brace. He omitted any more information about the sad occurrence.

Rod has a child with his first ex-wife, Alana Stewart. Sean is one of his eight children from five separate relationships.

Rod and Alana have a daughter called Kimberley. The couple married in 1979 but divorced in 1984. After his first marriage ended in divorce, the music legend married twice more.

Rod married Rachel Hunter, a New Zealand model, for the second time in 1990. They had two children together, Renee in 1992 and Liam in 1994, before splitting up in 1999. Rod began seeing Penny Lancaster before their divorce in 2006.

In 2007, the composer married the English model for the third time. Since then, the couple has been married, and their bond is still strong. Aiden, born in 2011, and Alastair, born in 2005, are the couple’s two kids.

Rod also has a daughter, Sarah, whom he had with his ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey in 1963. They separated after placing their daughter for adoption. The “Maggie May” hitmaker and his ex-girlfriend, Kelly Emberg, have another daughter named Ruby. In 1987, the former couple’s daughter was born.

Rod discussed parenthood in an open interview with People in November 2021, revealing that he parents each of his children differently due to age differences.

“Because of my children’s varying ages, I have to be several different fathers. You must truly address each of them as people with unique concerns.”

Rod used his teenage son, who has begun dating, as an example. He stated that he needed to give him the birds and bees talk and counsel him on “what he should and shouldn’t do.”

The Grammy winner mentioned that his then-15-year-old youngster was already aware of such things:

“Because my 15-year-old is dating girls, I had to teach him about sex.” I merely told him what he should and shouldn’t do, but he’s got it covered. “Dad, I’ve got the internet,” he said. “Everything is familiar to me.”

Rod claimed that all of his older children, “except Liam,” had experimented with alcohol and drugs over the years.

However, the pleased father added that they eventually got their act together and did well. “As a father, I’ve learned to listen and not blow my top,” Rod explained.

According to Closer Weekly, the London native previously discussed parenting his family and said that he regretted not spending more time with his elder children.

During an interview on Ireland’s “The Late Late Show,” Rod confessed that he was traveling a lot when Sean and Kimberley were growing up and that he needed to work to pay off his debt, which is why he was absent:

“I went on tour a lot with Sean and Kimberly.” In the late 1970s, I owed the IRS money. “I had to go on a lot of tours, so I didn’t get to see them.”

Fortunately, Rod has been able to make up for the lost time by spending as much time as possible with his children. In 2019, the record producer and his wife, Lancaster, were photographed on a yacht with their kids in Cannes, France.

Rod’s children appeared to be close as well. His sons Sean and Alastair were seen having lunch together in Sherman Oaks, California, in July 2021.

The father of eight reflects on his first failed marriage to Alana in November 2021. Rod married when he was 34 years old, and while he thought he was ready at the time, he subsequently realized that he wasn’t.

When the “Sailing” singer told his father he was getting married, he said he was “far too young.” Rod, later in adulthood, agrees with his father:

“He was correct. “I had a lot of living, partying, drinking, and shagging ahead of me.”

According to Hello Magazine, Rod and Alana reconnected in February 2022 for an important event in their child’s life. They were there to celebrate with Rod’s other daughter, Renee, at the previous couple’s daughter’s engagement celebration.

Alana shared two photos from her child’s engagement party on social media. The combined family went to Craigslist in Los Angeles together, and photos showed Rod and his children’s mother smiling side by side.

The article piqued fans’ interest, and many flocked to the comments section to praise the exes for being so nice to one another. One social media user praised Alana and Rod for “remaining close” after all these years, noting that their children benefited from witnessing their co-parenting relationship.
