Steve Harvey shares his experiences of being homeless and how he eventually found success…

Steve Harvey said that he had spent some time living out of his vehicle and had a total of $35 to his name at one point.

The year was 1991, and he was on the verge of giving up on his ambition of working in the entertainment industry. He was essentially homeless at the time.

Steve did not have any places to work or opportunities to make money, despite the fact that he had a natural talent for humor and the ability to make other people laugh.

One day, he pleaded, “Come on, Good lord. I’ve been putting forth a lot of effort to make my goal a reality, and you just abandoned me like this.”

Steve reports that after he prayed, God ordered him to get up and be ready because he was going to take him to new locations he had never visited before. After then, he checked the messages on his answering machine by calling his home phone.

After that, Steve received the news that he had been given a position on the Apollo Show, which is broadcast in New York. However, with just $35 in his pocket, it was difficult for him to make the trip from Florida to New York.

Steve was going to phone back and inform the person that he would not be able to make it to New York when he discovered another voicemail offering him $150 for a comedy event.

Therefore, he decided to take a chance and do the concert, giving it his best even though he had no idea what the outcome would be. Because of how brilliantly he played, the club asked him to come back for one more engagement.

After doing the two concerts, he was able to save up enough money to pay for his flight to New York, which he accomplished. Steve was successful in New York because destiny opened doors for him. People couldn’t get enough of him once he became famous overnight.

It was the beginning of his career as a comedian and host on television and it launched him on the path to stardom.

Everyone faces adversity at some point in their lives. At this point, you have the option of either moving ahead or giving up everything. If you quit up, there is just one thing that is certain: it will never happen. Faith is the most important thing.
