In 2010, the year when his wife gave birth to their daughter Lochlyn Kyla Vaughn, actor Vince Vaughn had already reached the age of 40. It had been over a year after he had married Kyla Weber when he started a family, and he was already a famous actor with a very successful career spanning twenty years.
Lochlyn Kyla Vaughn’s entrance into the world had a huge impact on her actor father’s life from the minute she was born, altering the actor’s perspective and driving force. The arrival of the baby turned Vince Vaughn into a family guy.
Vince Vaughn was born on March 28, 1970, in Chicago, and he made the decision to pursue a career in acting when he was 17 years old.
Vaughn came into his own as an actor on the silver screen when he landed a part in the major motion picture “The Lost World: Jurassic,” directed by Steven Spielberg. Friends of Vaughn’s arranged for the two of them to meet, and after dating for a year and a half, he popped the question to Weber on Valentine’s Day with a sparkling diamond weighing four carats.
Lochlyn Kyla Vaughn was born on December 18, 2010, marking the occasion of Vaughn and his wife’s first child together. Vaughn’s life was radically altered when, within the span of a year, he tied the knot and started a family of his own. He disclosed that: “It provides you with a new reason to live. I’ll tell you… When Kyla and I went to our first physician visit, we were required to bring the car seat with us and install it in the trunk of the vehicle.
After Kyla had fastened her seatbelt, I climbed inside the vehicle, then I said something along the lines of, ‘We’re a family.'”
Little Lochlyn comes from a long line of illustrious ancestors, including great-grandparents from Kentucky, great-great-grandparents from Lebanon, a great-grandfather with Italian roots, and a great-great-grandmother with English, Irish, and German ancestry.
She also has a great-grandfather with Italian roots. The gorgeous blue eyes and long, black hair that Lochlyn has were passed down to her by her mother. Vaughn said that with the birth of his daughter, he has developed a greater worry for the future and has even begun to think about the possibility of applying to college.
In 2015, Vaughn admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that his daughter Lochlyn, who was five years old at the time, was completely enamored with the character Elsa from Disney’s smash-hit animated film “Frozen.” According to reports, Lochlyn enjoyed playing dress up as Elsa and “freezing” her father. He said:
“I’ll feel like I’m about to pass out, but then she’ll kiss me and bring me back to life.”
In the year 2020, Vaughn said that Lochlyn is a lover of comedy and that she had appreciated his picture “Dodgeball.”
The arrival of Vaughn and Weber’s second child, a boy they named Vernon Lindsay Vaughn, on August 7, 2013, meant that Lochlyn’s time as an only child was cut short. The baby’s grandfather’s name was Vernon, thus his name was given to him.
Grandpa Vernon Vaughn is a huge fan of his son’s acting profession and even portrayed Vince Vaughn’s on-screen father in the movie “Couples Retreat,” which was released in 2009. In addition, he has roles in five additional films directed by Vince Vaughn.
Although she prefers to remain in the background, Little Vernon and Lochlyn’s mother is a dedicated wife and mother.
Vaughn and Weber have made a concerted effort, during the course of their marriage, to shield their children from the scrutiny of the public. The sole formal public appearance that has been documented for Lochlyn to date took place on March 4, 2015, at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, while Vaughn was being honored with the hand and footprint ceremony.
