In a statement, his wife, Allison Holker Boss, provided confirmation of her husband’s passing: “My husband, Stephen, has passed away, and it is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to break the news to you.

Stephen was like a beacon of light whenever he entered a room. Above all things, he placed the utmost importance on his family, his friends, and the community he lived in. Leading with love and light was everything to him.

He was the rock upon which our household was built, the ideal husband and father, and a source of motivation for all of his admirers.”

In an Instagram Story post made two days following Stephen’s passing, Connie conveyed her sorrow over his passing. She thanked her “family and friends” for their “love, prayers, and support” in a letter that she had written.

“Please be aware that I read all of your messages, texts, and postings, as well as your phone conversations. I am at a loss for words at the moment. Please be assured that I will get in touch with you as soon as I can.”

She included a new phrase that was directed exclusively to her son, saying, “Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you to eternity and beyond.”
