This year’s Christmas was a little unusual for Tom Brady. Rather than spending the holiday with his three children, the Buccaneers quarterback was in Phoenix, Arizona, facing the Cardinals. Despite the fact that Brady’s squad won, it appears that Christmas happiness was scarce. Brady opened up earlier this month about spending Christmas alone, and his comment about his first Christmas after divorcing Gisele Bündchen is heartbreaking.
Brady and Bündchen confirmed their divorce on October 28th, following months of speculation. They’ve kept their breakup mostly private, but Brady has revealed a little of what he’s going through. According to Us Weekly, Brady discussed his intentions for the holiday on an edition of SiriusXM’s Let’s Go with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray’s podcast. “It’ll be a fresh experience that I’ve never had before that I’m going to learn how to cope with.” And I believe that is what life is all about. So you just asked what you learned from this football season. “I’m going to have to learn how to cope with Christmas Eve at a hotel, and I’m going to have to learn how to deal with Christmas and Christmas night while still being a professional,” he added.
Brady also mentioned that he would be celebrating Christmas late. “And then I’m looking forward to enjoying Christmas with my kids the next day,” he said. “Which, you know, has always been a part of what football season has been for a long time. “Once again, emotional qualities assist us to thrive.”
Brady posted an Instagram Story on December 27 with his three children, Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian, in front of a Christmas tree with the words “Merry Xmas ❤️❤️.” So it appears that they were able to celebrate, although a few days late.
Bündchen spent Christmas in Brazil with her two children, Benjamin and Vivian, whom she shares with Brady. “It’s always so lovely to come back home,” she wrote in an Instagram image from the vacation, which included photos of her and her family enjoying nature and spending quality time together.
