When an 18-year-old girl’s mother passed away when she was only seven years old, she was sad that she would never get to meet her lover. She was unaware of the fact that they had already met years before.

Many mothers share embarrassing experiences with their children’s loved ones when they meet for the first time.

Leah Menzies’s case was no exception. “My friend’s mother was telling me about how he made this ridiculous look in a class photo. She found it amusing ”

When the boy grabs the album, he suddenly yells, “Oh my God.” “I couldn’t understand why he was being so over-the-top,” said Leah.

To his disbelief, Menzies’ mother’s portrait seemed to be in McLeod’s hands. His girlfriend had photographs of her mom in her room and he happened to remember her from that.

Menzies broke down in tears as soon as she saw the image.  “I can’t believe my mum knew him, that she was standing next to my future partner”. Because he was just 3 years old when they first met, McLeodd had no recollection of his instructor.

McLeodd’s mother, on the other hand, recalls her as “really kind.”

When Menzies realized what had happened, he said it was “like something out of a movie.” He is her high school sweetheart and they have been dating for seven months now and t here was no “family bond” back then.
