Two penguins that have lost their spouses console one another while watching “dancing” city lights…

Tobias Baumgaertner, an Australian photographer, recently shared some beautiful photographs on his Instagram account of two windowed penguins enjoying life together while taking in the scenery.

The penguins may be seen embracing one another and providing comfort to one another while staring out towards the city skyline at night in Melbourne. At the height of the outbreak, Baumgaertner uploaded the adorable photographs on Instagram along with the following caption:

“Those who are able to be with the person(s) or people(s) whom they love the most are the ones who may consider themselves to be the luckiest at times like these.

A little over a year ago, I was able to catch this moment. These two Fairy penguins were hanging there for hours, flipper in flipper, observing the shimmering lights of the city and ocean from their perch on a rock that overlooked Melbourne.”

He was told the heartwarming history of the two aquatic birds by a volunteer at St. Kilda Pier, which is the location where tiny penguins flock together for protection when the sun goes down.

“A volunteer came up to me and informed me that the person in white was an older woman who had just lost her companion, and that the younger man to the left of her had also experienced the same thing.

Since that time, they come together often to console one another and spend hours at a time standing close to one another while looking at the city lights in the distance.”
