Vanessa Hudgens has great news for her fans

Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker are in this together, as Gabriella Montez would say. According to TMZ, the High School Musical alum is engaged to the MLB star after dating for almost two years. Hudgens announced their engagement on February 9 with an Instagram post that included a snapshot of the couple posing after the proposal. Bustle reached out to Hudgens and Tucker’s agents for comment but did not get an immediate response.

Hudgens also featured a close-up of her gorgeous diamond engagement ring against the Seine and Eiffel Tower in her announcement post, confirming TMZ’s prediction that he proposed in Paris in November 2022. “YES. “We couldn’t be happier,” she wrote beside the photographs.

Tucker also posted the image on his Instagram, and the pair received congratulations from celebrities including Brittany Snow, Ashley Park, and Hudgens’ fellow Disney Channel alum Aly Michalka. Sarah Hyland, who recently married and had Hudgens as one of her bridesmaids, responded with a poem. “We couldn’t be happier right now: a fairy-tale narrative, our own happy ending,” she wrote.

Since November 2020, the pair have been associated. Tucker quietly proposed to Hudgens around the end of 2022, according to the publication, though a precise date and location are unknown. While the two haven’t confirmed or commented on their rumored social media activity, they’re not afraid to show each other off on Instagram. Hudgens most recently tweeted a selfie of herself holding and staring up at the sportsman on January 26. “I’ll halt the world and melt with you,” she said in the caption.

Hudgens frequently attends Tucker’s baseball games, and Tucker is grateful for her support, as seen by his post-game Instagram pictures. In classic Hudgens fashion, the couple goes all out for the holidays. Hudgens dressed as Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice, complete with blue skin, for Halloween 2022, while Tucker dressed as Sting—the professional wrestler, not the music star.

Hudgens said in a May 2021 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show that she met Tucker in a Zoom meditation group with Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama after a friend connected her to a group chat where members were posting GIFs of themselves. “I assumed it was a prank when there was a GIF in the group chat of a baseball player sliding onto a base,” she explained. “So I simply said, ‘Hot.'” And then I hop on Zoom and wonder, “Who is that?'” When they started conversing, the actor stated she made the first move once more, and the rest was history. “I’m a real go-getter,” she said. “I just snuck into his DMs and said, ‘Hey, it was good meeting you.'” So I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being the first to make a move.”
