Watch this heartwarming video of three grandmothers soothing screaming baby on plane

Anyone who has traveled with newborns or small children on an aircraft understands how difficult it can be, especially if you are going alone.

It only takes an extra pair of hands—or three—to give a tired or stressed mother a respite and restore our faith in mankind.

Today, a young mother posted a touching video of three grandmothers who stepped in to watch her daughter Gray on her first trip.

Isabella LaLonde recently took to TikTok to post the video, which was shot aboard an aircraft.

It depicts three older women sitting together; one of them is holding a baby.

One of the women sings to the baby and coaxes her to clap her hands until she bursts out laughing, while the other women coo over the baby, who appears sleepy and is sucking on a pacifier.

It is emblazoned across the screen: “Gray was flying for the first time.” She began screaming around 30 minutes into the flight. “These women realized how overwhelmed I was and extended their arms to assist.”

“Gray stopped sobbing right away,” she went on. “The lady who was holding her had been a teacher for nearly 40 years. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. “It meant everything to me.”

She shared the video, which was set to the emotional “Something We Did” piano melody from the film Up, with the caption “When you’re sat next to a row of grandmas” as well as the hashtags #fyp #plane #smallgestures.

It has since gained 3.9 million views, 614,000 likes, and over 11,000 comments.

Several people commended the women for helping an exhausted mother.

“Angels!!!! Alternatively, fairy godmothers Flora, Fauna, and Good Weather One was written in homage to Walt Disney’s 1959 picture of Sleeping Beauty’s three nice fairies.

“This is exactly as it should be.” This is how our community should function. “Love, patience, and wisdom are all gifts,” another person stated.

“I’m sobbing uncontrollably. Being a mother of a three-year-old and a six-month-old, I can easily become overwhelmed. “More of these women are needed in our lives,” another person said.

Many others mentioned how much fun the women were having.

“All three of them are grinning from ear to ear,” one person commented. “I can’t tell who’s having the most fun,” another added.

“Believe me, those gorgeous women were in heaven with that beautiful baby,” another person said.

LaLonde also posted a second video because one of her fans wanted to see the first video without the music. Above the roar of the plane, you can just make out the lady singing to the young child.

It’s not the first time people on an aircraft have stepped in to comfort a sobbing infant.

Last year, a video went viral as passengers on a flight joined in a sing-along of the children’s song “Baby Shark” to comfort a terrified toddler.
