Because Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum keep their affair private, it’s a rare occasion when one star is ready to talk about the other. Thankfully, in a Nov. 15 interview with GQ, the Batman star spoke everything about their relationship, and Kravitz’s remarks about Tatum are extremely nice.
“He’s simply a beautiful human,” Kravitz said, according to the site. “He makes me laugh, and we both like talking about art and figuring out why we do what we do. We enjoy seeing movies and breaking them down, talking about them, and challenging one another.”
The pair met when Kravitz cast him in her directorial debut, Pussy Island. They apparently clicked right away, and their friendship on stage served as the foundation for their romance. “Whether it was bringing me tea, pouring me a drink, whipping someone into shape, or anything — he was my guardian, and it was really nice and sweet,” Kravitz said. “I think doing something like that jointly is a wonderful test. And we came back stronger.”
Tatum’s protective instincts were also at work in their first press shoot together (in August 2021), according to Kravitz. “I was sweating, and he said, ‘Hop on the bike; I’ll ride you over, and you can rest,'” she told GQ.
The moment made their connection public, which was both a benefit and a curse. “You want to keep it as holy and private as possible,” Kravitz continued. “So that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it.”
While Kravitz may have preferred to keep their affair a secret for a while longer, Tatum seems to be okay with the public knowing he had a thing for her. According to Us Weekly, on August 19, 2021, fans observed Tatum following many fan accounts, including “kravitzupdate,” “zkluv,” “zoekravitzinc,” and “zoekravitzsource.”
You know what they say: the romantic bike ride comes first, then the Instagram likes.
