When a group of Hingham Middle School Junior Choral Spectrum students in Massachusetts learned that their instructor was getting married, they felt they had to do something.
Christopher Landis was getting married to his future spouse, Joe, and his pupils wanted to honor him for all of his hard work.
With that in mind, they devised a surprise that they knew he wouldn’t forget anytime soon. Their strategy was laid out at Landis’ wedding rehearsal breakfast. It certainly had the desired effect.
To begin, the youngsters unexpectedly turned up to Landis’ practice before bursting into a stunning performance of the Beatles classic “All You Need Is Love.”
They’d spent a whole month secretly practicing every Sunday in order to get it right for a man who deserved it.
What’s the best part?
Landis is in pieces from the minute the kids start walking in until the end of the song. He’s surprised and humbled that a group of individuals would go to such lengths for him, and tears quickly pour.
The video alone shows how much Landis adores “his kids,” as he refers to them, and how much they adore him in return.
Aside from the emotions displayed, it’s also worth noting that this group of children knows how to sing!
