Adoption by the family of the boy’s closest companion makes a dream come true for a sweet 12-year-old boy, when ha was…

The Children’s Bureau estimates that there are around 424,000 children living in foster care throughout the country in the United States.

Alone in the state of Tennessee, there are about 8,000 children in need of either reunification with their biological families or the discovery of a permanent family who would love them without condition.

One of the youngsters who had been held in the juvenile court system up until very recently was Andrew, a young man from Nashville who is now 12 years old. This beautiful young guy spent the most of his childhood moving from one family to the next as he went through a series of foster homes.

Everything was different once he was taken in by the Gills, an exceptional foster family, and adopted by them.

Joc, Kevin and Dominique Gill’s child, became Andrew’s fast buddy not long after the two children were introduced. The boys like spending time together in social settings. They pass the time by engaging in fun activities such as going on walks, playing games, and participating in other activities.

After understanding how close the boys had bonded to one other, Kevin and Dominique made the decision to file adoption paperwork. This would guarantee that they remained close friends for the rest of their lives.

Andrew was completely unaware of the fact that he was about to become a full-fledged part of the Gill family.

When he found out that his foster parents had decided to adopt him, he was in the middle of walking across the park with a Youth Villages employee named Molly Parker.

Andrew shared his response: “I just rounded the corner and saw everyone.” “When they asked, ‘Will you?’ I responded with a resounding ‘Yes!’
