During a larceny at McDonald’s, a Teenager Who Was Locked Inside the Freezer Dials 911 and Hears Her Mother’s Voice on the Other Line…

During a larceny that took place at a McDonald’s in New Orleans, a young woman by the name of Tenia Hill, who was only 16 years old at the time, was confined inside a freezer.

From there, she placed a frantic call to 911, only to hear her mother’s voice on the other end of the line.

Tenia was working at the McDonald’s located on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans on the 17th of October when a violent lady entered the restaurant and ordered all of the staff to hide under a freezer while she looted the establishment.

Tenia said as she reflected on the events of that night, “I was really, pretty, really scared because I would would have never imagined that at my first job, I would be getting robbed, let alone carrying a firearm pointed at me,” she said.

She made the call from inside the refrigerator. Her mother, Teri Clark, who works for the Orleans Parish Communications District (OPCD) as an assistant operations manager, was the one who answered the phone when the call came in.

During the call to 911, Tenia pleaded with her mother to “Mama, please hurry up she’s got a weapon.”

Tenia’s mother had every intention of going home after work, but she remained that evening in order to provide a hand to the other members of the staff.

During the course of the night, one of the calls that came in was from his youngest kid, who was trapped inside a freezer. Teri Clark was having trouble comprehending the information that she was receiving. In her 24 years on the job, she had never before been confronted with such a startling phone call from a member of her own family.

“When my kid stated, ‘We are in the freezer,’ that was the point when it broke me down completely.” I responded by asking, “In the freezer?” Clark stated. “As I was speaking to the person on the other end of the line, tears began to stream down my cheeks.

I am still making an effort to accomplish my work, and I completed the tasks assigned to me to the best of my abilities. ”

Clark was able to settle her teenage daughter’s worry, and she communicated the situation to the authorities, who rushed to the scene, checked on everyone, and made sure that everyone was safe.

She returned at the site later to check on her kid and make sure she was okay after the incident.
