Season after season, “American Idol” provides viewers with new delights and surprises, and the show’s Season 20 is not an exception.

“American Idol” was largely responsible for launching musicians to higher heights in their careers. Consider, for instance, the lives of former champions such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia Barrino, Candice Glover, David Cook, and Jordin Sparks, to name just a few of the many people whose lives were altered as a result of their victory in the intense singing competition.

In “American Idol,” chosen candidates who progressed on the Auditions phase are required to be filtered out during Hollywood Week. This process was made much more tough on the aforementioned season due to the genre and duets challenge, but it is necessary for the competition.

Danielle Finn was one of the candidates that astounded both the other contestants and the judges with her performance.

Finn, who was 17 years old at the time, was originally from the beautiful city of Los Angeles, which is located in the state of California. She sang a rendition of Madison Ryann Ward’s “Mirror” when she was being evaluated for the role.

At first, the judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan were pretty doubtful about the key that she was singing in, feeling that she need to move it up a notch higher. Perry said that she was “very troubled” since she didn’t know what she was singing when she sung it in a key higher.

But, Finn really blew them away when she sang the chorus line, which prompted Perry to toss the papers off the table so that she could give herself some space since she was suddenly riveted to her singing voice.

“Always keep a watchful eye on me, but don’t take your attention off the road.”

Keeping our grip won’t bring us any closer, since we still have a long distance to go, therefore there’s no use in doing so. She screamed out her performance, which resulted in her winning the coveted golden ticket to Hollywood and receiving the judge’s approval.

If you thought Finn’s audition piece was good, you should have heard her rendition of “Easy On Me,” which won a Grammy and is considered one of Adele’s most popular songs.

First, Finn gets points for having the power, confidence, and guts to take on Adele’s vocally demanding song.

“When I was little, my grandpa and I would often watch the program together. When he told me he liked my voice and always believed in me, it was like a huge lightning bolt going off inside of me. She shared with the media that “now I’m here and he has Alzheimer’s, and he truly doesn’t realize what precisely is going on.”

The performance that Finn gave was not one in which she played it safe; rather, she gave it her all.

She has been following the judge’s instructions throughout the auditions phase to the letter, which has caused her other competitors to clap as she sang out the song with ease.

Finn received a standing ovation from all three judges after her performance, indicating that they were quite impressed with what she had to offer. Finn was able to triumph over the other contestants in the soul genre during Hollywood week, which ensured that she would advance to the Showstopper Rounds.
