Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are at it again. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad have reunited for a 2023 Super Bowl commercial that resurrects their characters from the 16-time Emmy-winning AMC series. On January 19, Entertainment Weekly announced that Paul will appear with Cranston in a PopCorners advertisement, and the snack brand’s new teaser for the commercial left the door open for another cast member to appear.
In the nostalgic teaser, Paul is shown admiring the magnificent desert sunset after an apparent cooking session while nibbling on Popcorn chips. As Paul receives an unknown phone call, the camera pans out to see an empty lawn chair next to him and the trailer that served as their meth lab. “Hey, what’s up?” he replies.
The characters will appear onscreen together for the third time since the show ended in 2013. In 2019, they will have a flashback scene in the Breaking Bad sequel film El Camino, and in 2022, they will be in the eleventh episode of Better Call Saul Season 6 called “Breaking Bad.”

While Paul’s partner-in-crime does not appear in the teaser, Cranston confirmed his participation in December, when PopCorners said they would be filming their Super Bowl ad in Walt and Jesse’s hometown of Albuquerque. The actor tweeted a photo of Walt clutching some chips in the desert with the comment, “Breaking soon.”

The two were most recently seen sitting courtside at a Houston Rockets game on Jan. 18, just hours before the teaser for their new ad was released.
Paul and Cranston also co-own a business, Dos Hombres Mezcal, which they launched in 2019 and are working hard to develop. “It’s critical for Bryan and I, as the creators of this firm, that [our business partners] understand that we’re doing the job,” Paul told CNBC in June 2022. “We don’t want to just slap our names on something and let other people do the job.” “This is our kid, and we are quite proud of it.”
The complete advertisement will be broadcast during Super Bowl LVII on February 12; however, it’s unclear if their reunion will air before or after Rihanna’s halftime concert.
