Earlier in March, the actress who won the Oscar for Best Actress said that she is going to take a vacation from her work but emphasized that she is “not retiring,” but rather “simply going to not spend time in front of the camera for a bit.”
“I don’t want to have to adhere to anybody else’s timetable except my own because I want to make my own decisions.
I have reached the point of exhaustion. I’m so not capable of making healthy, good choices and I know it,” adding, “i truly don’t know how long we will be away from the show.
“Work has never been inconsistent for me, and I realize how fortunate I am for this as I suddenly became aware that it was maybe turning into my crutch ”
In an interview Bullock expressed her excitement at the prospect of devoting more time to her “beautiful kids,” who are her son Louis and daughter Laila. “I’d rather look at them every day, have them be upset at me and irritated, and build memories with them for the time being.
Right now, and I don’t know how long that will be, I need to be in the place that makes me happy.
When I am at work, I give my job the full attention that it deserves and it’s twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and I simply want to be with my kids and my family all the time.”
