The music video for “Softly and Tenderly” by Carrie Underwood is breathtaking in its own right.

Carrie Underwood’s album of gospel hymns, named “My Savior,” was published on March 26, 2021, which also includes the song “Softly and Tenderly.”

Will L. Thompson is credited with the composition and writing of the famous invitation hymn “Softly and Tenderly,” which dates back to the 19th century and was written and created in the year 1880.

After hearing that Thompson had arrived at the hospital when evangelist Dwight L. Moody was confined there and prohibited from receiving visitors, Moody asked that Thompson be granted access to the facility.

After that, Moody said to him, “Will, I would rather have written ‘Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling’ than anything else I have been able to achieve in my entire life.”

Thompson was a member of the an organization that still uses a number of the hymns and gospel tunes he wrote.

The most well-known of his compositions is “Softly and Tenderly,” which is also one of the gospel songs that has been translated into the most languages throughout history.
